Next Wednesday it’s a general check in on The BACK LOUNGE. ‘How are we?’ All welcome, whether you’ve been before or not. Seems like there’s been lots going on out there. Working like a dog or waiting for the phone to ring? Or wondering how you’re going to juggle it all next year if we really are back out good and proper. Joanne Croxford & Simon Schofield are the dream team in charge this week. DM me to join the zoom chat ✌

Next Wednesday it’s ‘SUSTAINABILITY’ on The BACK LOUNGE. It’s definitely topical and ever more crucial we look at the impact of touring on the planet. Jamal Chalabi is our guest -www.backlashproductions.com and https://www.tourproductiongroup.co.uk/sustainability… – What can we do, whether you have a say in the big decisions, are a venue, supplier or want to know how you personally can step up. It’s the B word next week on The BACK LOUNGE. The first hour is all things ‘BREXIT’ – special guest Ian Smith is a bit of an expert at deciphering the nonsensical – with 40 years in the industry & recently founding Ukeartswork.info – a free fact-checked info initiative to keep creatives working with minimal disruption after Brexit in both directions. Second hour is our usual hang out & check in about pretty much anything. All welcome for some or all of the session, whether you are unlucky enough to be in the UK currently or not. Wed 3 Nov 6pm GMT
Next week it’s ‘WORK ADDICTION’ on The BACK LOUNGE. Rife in the music industry where few of us live a 9-5 existence and boundaries as to when the work day ends are muddy to say the least. But is hiding in work one of the things that attracts us? Is being overly busy and overworked to the point of burnout a little too celebrated? Addiction specialist and psychotherapist Adrianna Irvine is our guest, and she’ll be helping us look at what lies beneath…DM me to join the zoom. Wednesday 27th October 6pm BST London
‘The ENERGY session’ next week on The BACK LOUNGE. Back to work & lost your mojo? This one is about rebuilding stamina plus we’ll be looking at supplements & life hacks to help you make it through those long days and nights. Our beloved Matt Kansy, former roadie & now wellness coach will be leading the way. DM me to join the zoom. Wed 20th Oct 6pm BST
This year’s World Mental Health Day theme is ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’ and so our subject Wednesday is ‘WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THINGS GO WRONG’. Most of us who work in live music & events are freelance & there’s rarely much support when the wheels fall off. Whatever your reason for having to take time out or step back, whether that’s mental, physical, emotional or the big life stuff – join us to talk about it & shine a light on the stigma ⭐ The BACK LOUNGE is a peer support group who meet weekly on zoom, you can drop in as you please any week, camera on or off, talk or listen. In an industry that can make you feel isolated, there are the most AMAZING people out there just like you. You just need the guts to connect. Wednesday 13th October 6pm BST London ❤
Next week on The BACK LOUNGE, no theme, just a general check in and a catch up. Co moan, group hug, whatever you like… We’re folks who work across music and live events who share resources and provide support. All welcome ❤🤘 Wednesday 6th October 2021 (it’s October already?)

Debbie Taylor Guns n Roses Production Coordinator and long term BACK LOUNGE participant, has been touring the US all summer and is our special guest. Wednesday 29th September 6pm London BST
