Mental Welfare
CrewCare
CrewCare was created by roadies, for roadies. They are an advocacy group who promote crew welfare – be it personally, financially or professionally, within the Australian music industry. CrewCare is run by volunteers from the production commuity who understand the very needs of its membership. They provide mental health first aid training, weekly peer-support groups and regular fundraising opportunities to bring the community together and raise funds for initiatives that will help further their mission to help their own. They work in partnership with Support Act.
Support Act
Support Act are on hand to deliver crisis relief services to any music worker in the Australian music community. They have a mental health support helpline which operates 24/7, 365 days a year and are able to support with financial challenges faced by industry workers. They also offer a wealth of resources and fundraising options to ‘help a mate’, where they host an online space for you to fundraise for a fellow in the business who has been hit by hard times.
